Barks & Crafts at Canine Camp Getaway

Barks and crafts, water games, yappy hour, horseback riding – just a few of the exciting things you can do at Canine Camp Getaway. Nothing makes a vacation like spending it with your entire family. Take your kids and your pets to this great pet friendly resort located in the scenic Adirondack Mountains.

Lots of beautiful areas to take your dog.

I first heard about this place on Dogster. Now I have to take my family here too. I love nature and the Canine Camp Getaway has nearly 300 acres of open space and trails. We can go hiking, swimming, play flyball, or just lounge around and enjoy food and drinks for both people and pets.

Lounge by the pool side.

Go swimming in the pool.

Did I also mention that there are agility games, dog bingo, dog training classes, scent detection, and spa services? The list goes on and on. There will never be a bored moment at the Canine Camp Getaway! Check out their website HERE. And check out these great photos of pets having a tail-wagging time.

Fun agility equipment for your dog to use.

Agility training can be such fun!

We haven’t been there yet but we’re saving up to go! It will be a long drive for us, from Lawrence, KS to Lake George, NY – almost 23 hours in fact! But everyone in the car, including my dogs Maya and Pierson will be wearing a seat belt. And we will make lots of stops. Maybe we will stop and visit Lake Erie along the way. There might be some fun things for us to do in Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH too. But not as fun as our ultimate pet travel destination, the Canine Camp Getaway!
